Myths and misdemeanour

When Lord Ram returned to Ayodhya with Mata Sita, in Pushpak Viman, people of Ayodhya were overjoyed and lighted lamps to welcome their lord and goddess mother. And no no, they did not burst crackers. Absolutely not. So how did this pious festival when our Lord brings our Mother goddess back to us, came to be associated with bursting crackers? It’s not a matter of bursting crackers for a few hours, it’s a matter of how it at all started? It’s not even a matter of pollution as well, we have lakhs and crores and more of vehicles on road for that. But as humans, do we ever think about the mute creatures who get scared of the loud noise of the crackers. It broke my heart to see a dog hiding under a car, because it was scared of all the noise around. My heart really pained to see such a thing. We as humans have lost all senses, all humanity. God has been really kind to us, that we can speak and express and a brain to think. So I urge people to feed some sense into themselves and say no to crackers. Be human, be kind, and not just to fellow humans, but to all living and non-living because sure they cannot speak but they can definitely feel. Even Lord Ram felt for our beloved Hanuman Sena when he saw them getting sad of getting parted with their beloved lord. So Lord Ram requested the Hanuman Sena to accompany them till Ayodhya. If our Lord can, I’m sure we can also feel for other creatures around us. How I really hope people just stop doing illegitimate things in the name of religion. To all my fellow beings who proudly call themselves HINDU, kindly get your scriptures right.
