Mussoorie....the queen of hills💜

Updated: Apr 5, 2021

So, few days back, Mr. and myself managed a weekend getaway!! Now, the word "managed" should deserve a special attention. Courtesy: Mr. and myself are both "hard" working professionals :), and catching-up (lest planning a holiday) is a real challenge. We feel blessed to have a Sunday to take care of our tasks that do not gets accomplished on week-days. Nonetheless, of all this cribbing and "marriage-misery", lets just focus on the weekend, I mean the holiday!!

We planned a two-day trip to Mussoorie. We reached Mussoorie via a small stoppage at Dehradun, needless to mention the city where our hearts lie. As we reached Mussoorie, the weather, the air and the entire environment, just as always (as it was our second trip), mesmerized us!! As soon as we arrived in Mussoorie, just the entire "Mussoorie beat" captured us. The weather, the pleasant one, though a respite from Delhi's heat, for a moment made me think "Has someone left the AC on!!?"

The hills, oh the beauty!! You blink and capture those scenic beauty in your memory, forever!! "Blink and Capture". The morning sun, the hustling bustling of the market and the break from our mundane days! It may sound cliché, but those two days, just flew away. Like it happens with all holidays!

The beauty sure captivates, all and alike. With heavy heart, we had to bid adieu to this beauty. As you say goodbye, it makes you yearn for a next time....soon again please!!

As we made track, I could feel my heart whispering to this beauty..... Oh call me again soon...Mussoorie, the truest queen of hills!!

P.S. Let me know if I should write about the places we visited and the restaurants where we devoured food :) and I shall definitely come up with a new piece as a follow-up!!
